How Songbird Took Flight
When the world shut down in 2020, I lost my career as a home health occupational therapist overnight. Hospitals were overflowing, programs were gutted, and the life I'd built disappeared.
In the middle of that uncertainty, I started noticing the small businesses around me: cafés, restaurants, and service providers that kept our community alive. One by one, they began closing their doors, not because they lacked passion, but because they lacked clarity and structure.

That realization lit a fire in me. I couldn’t stop the chaos, but I could help people navigate it.

As I built what would become Songbird Accounting, I found myself drawn to the steady rhythm of the songbirds outside my window. Their persistence became a reminder that freedom and stability can coexist; that structure can create peace.
